## About TripWip

TripWip is a peer-to-peer car sharing platform where car owners (hosts) rent out their personal vehicles to drivers. Think of it as Airbnb for cars. The platform handles the entire process digitally: search, booking, payment, insurance, and communication between host and driver.

## How it works

### For drivers (renters)

1. **Search**: Enter a city and travel dates on tripwip.app. Filter results by vehicle type, price range, transmission (manual/automatic), fuel type, number of seats, and more.
2. **Choose a car**: Browse listings with photos, reviews, ratings, trip count, and daily price. Each listing shows the exact vehicle model, year, and features.
3. **Book and pay**: Reserve directly through the platform using a credit or debit card. No credit card is required — debit cards are accepted in most markets. This is a key advantage over traditional rental agencies that typically require credit cards.
4. **Coordinate pickup**: Use in-app messaging to arrange pickup location and time with the host. Options include meeting at a set location or home delivery.
5. **Drive**: Insurance coverage is active for the entire trip duration. Document the vehicle condition with 8 standardized photos at pickup and return.
6. **Return**: Bring the car back at the agreed time and location. Leave a review for the host.

### For hosts (car owners)

1. **List your vehicle**: Upload photos, set a daily price, define availability on your calendar, specify minimum rental days, and describe your car.
2. **Get verified**: Complete KYC identity verification and upload vehicle documentation (title, registration).
3. **Receive requests**: Drivers request to book your car. You can accept or decline.
4. **Earn money**: After each completed trip, earnings are deposited to your bank account. Track income, bookings, and performance in the host dashboard.
5. **Grow your business**: Hosts can scale by listing multiple vehicles and optimizing pricing and availability to maximize occupancy.

Vehicles on the platform are a maximum of 10 years old. Listings include details on transmission type (manual/automatic), fuel type (gasoline, diesel, hybrid, electric, CNG), number of doors, seating capacity, and mileage.

## Pricing

- Prices are set by each host individually based on their market and vehicle.
- Multi-day discounts: many hosts offer reduced rates for 3-day, 5-day, and 7-day+ rentals.
- No hidden fees from TripWip — the price shown includes the platform fee.
- Security deposit may be required (varies by country and vehicle).

Every single trip on TripWip includes insurance coverage. There are three tiers:

### Basic plan
- Third-party civil liability coverage
- Vehicle damage protection

- Deductible applies

### Gold plan
- Everything in Basic, plus:
- Medical coverage for driver and passengers
- Lower deductible

### Platinum plan
- Everything in Gold, plus:
- Zero deductible
- Windshield, glass, and lights coverage
